Inventory Associate

The Inventory Associate will be responsible for maintaining records of materials in inventory and on order. This role will manage inventory through database and maintain and replenish stock level required on a daily basis to meet distribution demands.

JOB DUTIES

The Inventory Associate will provide reliable and timely support in the following functions:

  • Prepare and maintain records of all inventory.
  • Enters data for inventory and cycle count adjustments, transfers and BOM’s into database.
  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels.
  • Perform physical cycle count(s) of inventory and reconcile actual on-hand stock to anticipated levels.
  • Receive, unpack and deliver goods, re-stocking items as necessary and labelling shelves.
  • Investigates inventory shortages and discrepancies and reports them to management.
  • Picks materials and properly prepares and stages work order job kits for production release(s).
  • Monitors and maintains job backorders and shortages.
  • Performs daily Part Form Requests and processes Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s).
  • Provides high quality customer service to all internal requests at Stockroom Service Area with promptness, and accuracy.
  • Prepares and participates in yearly physical inventory.
  • Records and monitors all items with a shelf-life and notifies management when material(s) are approaching or have expired.
  • Works inter-departmentally as necessary to fulfill distribution requirements.
  • Supports shipping and receiving.
  • All other duties as needed to assist the company in attaining its objectives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position involves considerable physical activity. Routinely requires the ability to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to twenty five (25) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

SKILLS

  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment and/or service ordering and inventory control.
  • Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
  • Database management skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
  • Ability to receive, stock and/or deliver goods.
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Able to function in a dynamic, fast paced, environment

QUALIFICATIONS

  • EXPERIENCE - Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of inventory control experience.
  • EDUCATION - AA Experience and Education can be an equivalent combination of pref’d qualifications.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will work in a Machine Shop within a Manufacturing environment, and as such, will encounter some dust/dirt, and noise/vibration.
